In order to ensure a safe cooking environment during this pandemic, participants must register as pairs. As a pair, you will prepare your own food at your own work station, 6 feet away from other work stations. Masks will be required. Class size will be limited to 4 pairs and 2 adults will supervise. Once you have registered, you will be sent an email confirmation as well as a registration form so that you can provide needed information about your child(ren). Once completed, they can be emailed back to Sprouting Chefs, and will be kept on file. You will only need to complete these forms once per child as long as information remains current.

Saturday, February 6th from 10 am to 1 pm
Classic Desserts - Just in time for Valentine's Day, a class focusing on two spectacular classic desserts, Pavlovas and Cream Puffs. Baked Meringues and freshly whipped cream, combined with fresh berries and homemade Raspberry Coulis will result in mini Pavlovas, the perfect dessert for your Valentine. We'll also learn the technique of making choux pastry and filling them with crème pâtissière (pastry cream) to create traditional mini Cream Puffs drizzled with Chocolate Sauce. Soups On! - When it's cold outside, there's nothing better than a homemade soup. We'll learn the fundamental steps in making your own soup when we prepare a Butternut Squash Soup, a flavorful Black Bean Soup and one of my favorites, Swiss-style Barley Soup. While the soups are simmering, each pair will prepare their own traditional Irish Soda Bread to serve alongside. This class is loaded with knife skill practice along with a fun focus on garnishes - making a bowl of soup into a real meal! For ages 10+. $130 per pair. |
