Gift certificates make the ideal holiday or birthday gift. There is no expiration date and value is $70. Once purchased, you will receive the gift certificate either electronically or via mail, whichever you prefer. To redeem, please email or call Sprouting Chefs as they cannot be redeemed on line. PLEASE NOTE: If you are purchasing a gift certificate for the coming holidays, it is very likely that class offerings for January-March will be SOLD OUT before the recipient receives their certificate. New certificate holders will be given priority registration for the April-early June 2023 classes. |

Jan 19th & 26th, Feb 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd 6-week After School Culinary Program Each week we will focus on a different cooking technique, incorporating knife skills, food & kitchen safety, nutrition, and food science every step of the way. The idea is that your child will learn a culinary technique rather than just a recipe so that he/she walks away with much deeper knowledge and skill. Topics will include: Knife Skills, Quick Breads, Frying-Tempura Style, Soup Fundamentals, Versatile Eggs and Poaching. $150 per child. Ages 10+. SOLD OUT |

Winter Warmers Right about now, we Michiganders need some tasty dishes that will just warm us up. So, in this class, you will learn to make a delicious Beef & Bean Chili with all the fixings, accompanied by Buttermilk Corn Bread and Blueberry & Apple Crumble. $70 per child. Ages 8+. SOLD OUT |

Trio of Breads In this class, you'll learn a lot about different bread-making techniques, and in the process make scrumptious soft pretzels (yeast bread), zucchini-chocolate bread (quick bread) and cheesy buttermilk biscuits (technique of butter cutting). Sunday Dinner This menu is a mix of some of my childhood favorites! Our entree will consist of Lemon Chicken (the dish I always requested for my birthday when I was a kid), Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes and Pan-Seared Broccoli. Chocolate Makes All Things Better! So, in this class, we will do our best to enjoy it as much as possible. On the menu, Chocolate Raspberry Crepes filled with Mascarpone Cheese and Raspberry Coulis, Chocolate Meringue Cookies and Rich Chocolate Mousse. All these goodies just in time for Valentine's Day! Lunch? Dinner? It's an ANYTIME meal! These three dishes would make for a delicious meal any time. We'll be baking Rosemary Focaccia Bread, while on the stove a French Onion Tomato Soup will be simmering. To satisfy the sweet tooth, we'll make individual Molten Lava Cakes - yummy!! Asian Inspired In this class, we'll take a virtual tour to the Far East and prepare a Chicken & Vegetable Chinese Stir-fry with an Orange-Ginger Sauce. In addition, we'll make Vietnamese Spring Rolls with a Hoisin-Peanut Sauce and home-made Fortune Cookies - come ready to share your fortune-telling talents. Meat Mastery In this class, we'll focus on culinary techniques specific to meat preparation such as cutting on the grain, searing and deglazing and at the same time, we'll enjoy some delicious dishes including Mongolian Beef, Braised Pork Chops and Baked Chicken Thighs. Cinnamon Delights I needed an excuse to finally feature Cinnamon Rolls in a baking class and here it is! Apart from deliciously sticky Homemade Cinnamon Rolls with a Vanilla Glaze, we'll also prepare Apricot-Cinnamon Scones and Caramelized Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pineapple served with a side of Vanilla Ice Cream.
