                                                                                          PLEASE NOTE
In order to ensure a safe cooking environment during this pandemic, participants must register as pairs (exception is the After School Culinary Program).  As a pair, you will prepare your own food at your own work station, 6 feet away from other work stations.  Masks will be required.  Class size will be limited to 4 pairs and 2 adults will supervise.  Once you have registered, you will be sent an email confirmation as well as a registration form so that you can provide needed information about your child(ren).  Once completed, they can be emailed back to Sprouting Chefs, and will be kept on file. You will only need to complete these forms once per child as long as information remains current.  

6-week After-School Culinary Program
Tuesdays beginning April 13th thru May 18th, from 4-5 pm

Each week we will focus on a different cooking technique, incorporating knife skills, food & kitchen safety, nutrition, and food science every step of the way. The idea is that your child will learn a culinary technique rather than just a recipe so that he/she walks away with much deeper knowledge and skill. Topics will include: Knife Skills, Quick Breads, Frying-Tempura Style, Soup Fundamentals, Versatile Eggs and Poaching.

We'll be making some American favorites like Southern-Style Macaroni & Cheese, Cucumber Salad with Fresh Dill and Mixed Berry Shortcakes topped with fresh Whipped Cream.  NUT FREE & VEGETARIAN

Cinnamon Delights
I needed an excuse to finally feature Cinnamon Rolls in a baking class and here it is! Apart from deliciously sticky Homemade Cinnamon Rolls with a Vanilla Glaze, we'll also prepare Apricot-Cinnamon Scones and Caramelized Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pineapple served with a side of Vanilla Ice Cream.

I get hungry just thinking about this meal! We'll prepare Cheesy Spinach Stuffed Shells topped with a Fresh Tomato Sauce, a green salad topped with our very own homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette and Dried Cranberry and Chocolate Biscotti. Buon Appetito!

Chocolate Makes All Things Better!
So, in this class, we will do our best to enjoy it as much as possible. On the menu, Chocolate Raspberry Crepes filled with Mascarpone Cheese and Raspberry Coulis, Chocolate Meringue Cookies and Rich Chocolate Mousse.

Bountiful Breakfasts
It's true that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so let's prepare some delicious ones. Berry Parfait with Cranberry Coconut Granola, Ham & Vegetable Strata and Pancakes topped with Mixed Berries and real Maple Syrup – all of these will get you off to a great start in the morning. ​

These three dishes would make for a delicious meal any time.  We'll be baking Rosemary Focaccia Bread, while on the stove a French Onion Tomato Soup will be simmering.  To satisfy the sweet tooth, we'll make individual Molten Lava Cakes - yummy!!       VEGETARIAN
